Sparlonz Plasticz, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of vacuum formed components and assemblies has strengthened its position within the market place with its latest investment in additional resources.
The company’s directors have invested heavily in acquiring the Belgrade Polymer Products brand and machinery. Belgrade Polymer Products were another leading manufacturer of vacuum formed products, as well as having their own sheet extrusion and injection moulding division.
The Belgrade Polymer Products brand will continue to exist but will be incorporated under the banner of Sparlonz Plasticz.
Nic Strong, Sparlonz Plasticz MD, said: “The Belgrade Polymer Products Machinery and brand complement Sparlonz, by being able to expand existing offerings as well as also pening up new, previously unexploited market places. This acquisition of assets is an important step in our aim to improve our own strategies and mission statement thus ultimately improving sustainability and profitability.”
Belgrade Polymer Products had been owned by Belgrade Insulations Ltd since it was founded in 1976 and a former employee who now works at Sparlonz said the company was excited for the future under the Sparlonz Plasticz leadership. “As part of Sparlonz Plasticz, we will be able to improve our operational and geographical footprint as we continue to deliver quality products and services to our customers”.
This acquisition was completed during the first quarter of 2019 when the last of the machinery was brought over to Sparlonz Plasticz Redditch facility, Worcestershire. Sparlonz is in the heart of the UK, with easy access to motorway networks, major railway stations and Birmingham International Airport.
